Professional HOA Board Assistance
Professionals are ready to assist you! Dedicated… Designated...Educated.
CAMS is the recipient of CAI’s AAMC® designation
CAMS recently joined the elite group of community association management companies who have earned the Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC®) designation from Community Associations Institute (CAI). CAMS is one of only 150 association management companies nationwide who have earned this highest level of professional recognition in the community association field.
To earn the AAMC distinction, management companies need three years of experience in community association management and at least 50 percent of their managers must have earned professional designations. At CAMS we’ve been managing associations for 20 years and 65 percent of our managers have earned designations. CAI is a national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations.
CAMS’ Educated, Designated Professional Team Members
You deserve a professional association manager that’s the very best that can be found. We believe that you get to be the best through education and experience. The designations and continuing education of our association managers are our priority at CAMS.
Managers are encouraged to participate in the Community Associations Institute‘s (CAI) professional development program. The majority of our managers are Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certified while several managers earned the Association Management Specialist Certification (AMS), and four executives and managers hold the prestigious Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM).
Managers also attend two in-house educational sessions each month. These sessions keep our managers at the forefront of what’s happening in our industry as well as the financial, legal, insurance, landscaping, engineering and other industries that we interact with daily.
ASK THE EXPERTS Seminars Offered Free of Charge
That’s right – FREE! CAMS offers Ask the Experts seminars at no cost to the property owner association or Board member. Recognizing Board members as volunteers with many responsibilities, CAMS offers free access to experts with legal, financial, engineering and management advice.
The panel typically consists of several experts including one or more attorneys, a CPA, an insurance agent, an engineer, and a CAMS executive. Join our mailing list here to receive advance notice of upcoming Ask the Experts seminars. View previous Ask the Experts seminars here.
Expert Consultation Services Available
Your access to a professional includes the entire CAMS organization and is not limited to the community manager assigned to your account. Your Association has access to experienced professionals that offer proven expertise. An integral part of the semi-monthly manager meetings is discussion of challenges being faced by the managers. The entire team discusses the issue, suggests solutions and shares personal experience with successful results.
Local, State and Governmental agencies:
- FEMA
- Army Corp of Engineers
- CAMA
- North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources
When your Homeowners Association needs assistance with these agencies, you will have an advantage of CAMS’ considerable experience that has given us broad, in-depth knowledge. CAMS has had extensive experience with these agencies with regards to flood plains, wetlands, and storm water management, which may be a valuable asset for assistance to those client Associations in those jurisdictions.
Professional Partnerships
CAMS employs a veteran CPA with over 30 years accounting experience, as well as retains local CPA companies to review our business records periodically and to keep us informed about the most current accounting practices.
We also retain the law office of Bonnie Braudway PLLC , and the Community Associations Practice Group of Ward & Smith, P.A. as legal counsel to assist us in collections, interpreting current property owners’ statutes, and in handling any legal matters that may arise. However, each Association determines the legal or accounting firm to handle your HOA's legal and accounting affairs.
In addition, CAMS has collection options available according to individual association's needs.
